Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JAMES PETERSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William James Peterson in the early hours of August 8, 2009 at the personal care home of Capital Care Grandview in Edmonton, Alberta. Remaining to cherish his memory are his daughters Roberta of Vancouver, Kristin of Edmonton and grandson Kodi, also of Edmonton. He also leaves brothers Frank (Anne) of Regina, Robert (Doreen) and sister Mary Lou DeBlaere as well as many nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by parents Burton and Winnifred Petersen and sister Barbara Anne Laminger. Jim was born April 12, 1936 in St. Boniface, where he was raised and later moved to Edmonton with his family. Jim was interested in music and sang with a group in Winnipeg named the Swing-Tones. His places of employment included, Hudson Bay, Burns Meat Processing Plant, and Canadian National Railway. A celebration of his life was held on August 13, 2009 officiated by Rev. Ken Walker of New Hope Community Church. Cremation has taken place.
